This conference is focused on examining ways to bolster diversity and inclusion in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics at UNC Chapel Hill. This all-day experience will feature nationally recognized diversity in STEM leaders, provide a developmental learning experience for faculty and administrators who are in positions to support ethnic minorities and women in STEM, provide a space for diverse scientists in STEM to engage, connect, and network, and engage with national advocates for diversity in an effort to raise the university’s consciousness and ability to address diversity in STEM.

The second annual conference will feature Dr. Freeman A. Hrabowski, President of University of Maryland, Dr. Christine Grant, Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Special Initiatives at NC State, and Dr. Jorge Cham, author and cartoonist of Piled Higher and Deeper (Ph.D. Comics).

All participants must register to attend the conference. Registration is free and open to all faculty, staff and graduate students at UNC.
