ILSSA is the Information and Library Science Student Association of the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). The officers of ILSSA are the liaisons between SILS students and faculty, SILS alumni, and the GPSF. We are an organization run by students for students!
ILSSA strives to:
- Provide feedback to SILS faculty and staff that accurately reflects the sentiments of the student body
- Organize social events to build an inclusive cohort for all SILS students
- Facilitate activities to connect students with faculty and staff
- Help new students successfully transition into SILS by providing peer mentorship and guidance
