Data Rescue – Chapel Hill

March 4, 2017 | 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Join us for a #DataRescue event to save federal climate change and environmental data at risk of disappearing. We are looking for volunteers, participants, and anyone else who is looking to get involved! To volunteer, sign up here.

Sponsored by the School of Information and Library Science (SILS) and the University Library at UNC-Chapel Hill, and in collaboration with datarefuge.org, EDGI and the Internet Archive’s End of Term 2016 project, DataRescue Chapel Hill aims to archive online information and data in danger of disappearing under the current administration. Our event is focused on preserving information and data related to climate change and environmental programs that are identified as high risk for removal from online public access or even deleted.

For more information, check out the website or email Sangeeta Desai at datarescueCH@gmail.com.
