MS Comprehensive Exam Information Session
Attention all master’s students graduating in Spring or Summer 2026:
Last year, SILS faculty approved a new comprehensive exam process that will be in effect for all MSIS and MSLS students entering our program in Fall 2026 or later. As current students, you have the option to take our existing, essay-based exam or to opt into the new, portfolio-based process. To help you choose, more information about each option is attached and is also available online at bit.ly/SILScomp.
All students graduating in Spring or Summer 2026 must indicate their choice of exam format by completing the survey linked here no later than Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
To help address any questions or concerns about the new comprehensive exam process, we will be hosting an information session on Friday November 21 at 11am via Zoom.
Lara Bailey is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
